For your home or small office printing needs, there’s the HP CP1215 printer suitable for it. This color laser printer carries an affordable price tag as it has basic features only. But the performance is something not to be overlooked, eagerly meeting your everyday color and black-and-white output requirements. It may be placed on virtually any available space you got as it comes with a compact and lightweight body.
Within it is a speedy processor of 264MHz to catch up with your day-to-day printing volume needs. As much as 8 pages a minute can be churned out for color tasks, and it takes 30 seconds for the first page to be out. Up to 12 pages a minute can be produced for your black-and-white tasks, and the first page is ejected in just a matter of 24 seconds.
However, precise printing speeds may vary depending on certain factors. Some of them include the system’s configuration and the size or complexity of the document. Meeting even your busiest document printing tasks is easy because as many as 150 media sheets can be handled by the machine at once, thanks to the standard input tray it comes with.
Supported media are assorted, ranging from sizes such as A4, A5, A6 and B1. Custom sizes supported are anywhere from 76 mm x 127 mm to 216 mm x 356 mm. Making sure you can meet just about any task at hand is the machine’s compatibility to work on a variety of media types. Such include regular paper, recycled, bond, glossy, photographic, transparencies, labels, cards and envelopes.
Image resolutions of up to 600 x 600 dpi (dots per inch) may be sported by both color and black-and-white documents. However, you can enjoy up to 2400 x 600 dpi interpolated resolution, thanks to HP’s ImageREt (Image Resolution Enhancement technology). This innovation allows you to enjoy texts that are sharp and clean, no matter how small the font sizes get. It also maintains decent reproduction of colors.
The machine’s monthly duty cycle is set at 250000 pages. According to HP, meeting this monthly requirement allows for an optimally performing machine. ColorSphere toner cartridges come pre-installed with your purchase. However, since these are introductory versions, they can yield averagely half the performance of standard ColorSphere toner cartridges.
While there’s no memory expansion slot or support for an external hard drive available, the integrated 16MB memory is sufficient for your everyday home or small office printing needs. For duplex printing needs, the machine comes with a driver support. However, it’s only manual so the pages will have to be turned over and re-inserted into the media feeder by the operator each time for meeting two-sided printing tasks.
The connectivity option available on the HP CP1215 printer is a hi-speedĀ USBĀ 2.0. The machine has a compact body, having a 399-mm width, 453-mm depth and 254-mm height. It may be placed in practically any available space you have, as it also comes with a weight of only 17.6-kg. With simple operation and toner change, more tasks can be finished on time. The money-saving benefit extends beyond its low price tag, as it also meets Energy Star requirements.
