Florida Offers One Of The Best Sober Living Communities

When it comes to addiction and sober living, life is always easier when your environment offers the support and activities that promote the sober lifestyle. One of these areas that was featured in an article regarding the top ten sober living cities was Delray Beach, Florida. The sunshine state is known for their plethora of Florida drug rehab facilities. Many who go to Florida for rehab, will actually stay knowing that their initial environment helped lead to their problems.

Recovery City

Delray Beach was refered to as the largest and most vibrant recovery community in the nation by the New York Times. Although many officials tried to ban sober-living homes from residential areas the city still averages 5,000 people at over 300 different 12-step meetings any given week. In addition to outlets for support there are also other features including regular recovery radio broadcasts, a motorcycle club that features recovery as well a coffee house with a therapy group, and many more recovery affiliated attractions.

Delray Beach

Delray Beach is home to 64,000, this means that those in recovery cross paths much more frequently, and that the tourism that fuels the economy offers a lot of entry level jobs that help newly recovered addicts get the footing in the world of work. When recovering from an addiction it is important to be in an environment that supports recovery and sobriety. Perhaps this is why Delray features such great recovery attractions.

More cities should follow example and offer recovery based attractions. Ultimately it’s up to the recovery community to start these businesses and help those who are in the early stages of sobriety get their lives back on track as well. It’s all about helping each other out and lending a hand.
