Function And Economy For Your Office With The Lexmark S 1620 Printer

The Lexmark S 1620 is another one of Lexmark’s masterpieces. Lexmark has a history of producing high quality printers and this one is no different. The Lexmark printer using Lexmark S 1620 toner has been designed for durability and expandability. This printer has been designed with the small to large office in mind. Its fast page per minute speed is enough to keep all printer hungry people happy with the output.

One of the things I noticed about the Lexmark S 1620 is that it’s a rather cost effective printer when compared to other printers that have similar features. Features alone, however, shouldn’t be your reason to buy the printer because what really needs to be looked at is print quality. After all, you don’t want a printer with tons of features but mediocre print quality.

The Lexmark S 1620 can accommodate up to roughly fifteen hundred sheets of paper. There is also a choice of adding an optional paper tray that can hold much more paper. The good thing with this is that with the Lexmark printer you will not need to constantly sit around inserting paper into your printer. In my experience once you have loaded all the trays it should last for an entire day even in the busiest office.

Lexmark has a reputation of churning out printers that print both excellent quality prints, as well as incorporating the latest and most cutting edge features available.

This particular printer, however, does not really incorporate any cutting edge features. If I had to guess, it would be because it’s not very expensive. That doesn’t change the fact that it does the job of producing excellent prints. I went ahead and tested the printer on a number of documents to see how it performed.

We started by testing the printer with a number of text pages later followed by text and graphics mixed and after that just graphics to see how well it performed. Text reproduction of this printer was first-rate except for a few fonts that didn’t appear very good. In our graphics tests, colored graphics looked muddy while grayscale graphics looked fine. I wasn’t impressed with the time that the printer took to print out a picture. Some things looked perfect while others weren’t very impressive which led me to believe that it was a printer best suited for text and some low resolution graphics.

We also went ahead and tested the printer at high resolutions. The printer took a bit longer to warm up but once it did we were impressed with the print quality and the capability it had of printing high resolution text and graphics. The only difference was only the few extra seconds it took for the printer to warm up.

The Lexmark S 1620 toner cartridge has excellent capacity and can print up to 1200 pages of high resolution and high quality content. In a typical office the cartridge can last up to around fifteen days which is much more than other printer cartridges. I guess Lexmark has always been the one to push the limits of a toner cartridge.
