At the current time, there is familiarity at least to a certain extent about earning money Google Adsense among many in the Internet marketing community. Having a good working knowledge of Adsense is meaningful as it can help you establish a successful undertaking through Google Adsense (and earning money.)
Small contextual ads published on web sites with the consent of the website owner is Google Adsense. When selling products and/or creating brand awareness, publishers can create the ads. Adwords is what these ads are termed and it is a program sponsored by Google.
Google Adwords and Adsense run hand in hand. Every time someone clicks on a sponsored ad after they have done a search on Google or one of their partner networks, Google gets paid a predetermined price by the person who created the ad. This is what is known as ‘pay per click.’
The Adsense program allows the owner of the website where the Adwords ads appear to split the amount of money that Google has taken from the creator of the ad. Although the percentage split is a well guarded secret, for our purposes we can work on 50%.
The host of the website that displays the Adsense ad can receive .20 when that ad is clicked, if the publisher is paying .40 in total for the Adwords ad. The 50% that is left will be kept by Google. So basically it is a partnership of sorts between Google and website owners.
Adsense is shown in the most relevant way possible. What does this mean? Well, probably this can be illustrated best through an example. Let’s say Mary had a website featuring women’s clothing. If Mary wanted to monetize her website with Google Adsense the ads that would be shown would all be related to clothing, and more precisely, women’s clothing. The Adsense ads would be appearing specifically for women’s shoes if a page of her website was dedicated to shoes.
So the price per click is determined by what? This is where the Adwords side of the equation kicks in. The keywords are bid on by publishers of Adwords. The more lucrative or sought after a keyword is, the more the publisher will be willing to pay for each click. Anywhere from a few cents to in excess of $50 per click is what these keywords range from.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see someone making some nice money by putting Google Adsense on their website and if their website is generating a decent amount of traffic. Many Internet marketers will create web sites with specific content for the sole purpose of attracting high paying Adsense ads. Top Internet marketers are earning money in excess of $10,000 a month on Adsense, and you can too!
