Lexmark Optra m410 – The Best Printer For Your Office

On first impressions, the Lexmark Optra M410 is very much in keeping with other printers in its range. Slight differences exist of course, with the most noticeable one being the difference in height, (taller than most) and depth, (shallower than most). This design helps it slot into many of the more tightly arranged cubicles. This printer runs on Lexmark Optra M410 toner.

Despite being a substantial product, weighing in at forty pounds, the Lexmark Optra M410 remains surprisingly easy to maneuver. Indeed, whether setting up the unit for the first time, replacing the toner, or simply for standard maintenance and cleaning, most should be able to cope with moving it on their own. This excellent design continues to the control panel and the layout of all fundamental access areas.
Setting up the printer should take no time at all. Though there are excellent instructions provided, a single person could manage to get up and running in about 15 minutes, without having to read them. The clear and concise operating panel will let you know when ready to print, and also provide you status updates concerning paper, blockages, toner level and so on.
The standard set up of the printer is very impressive too. The paper tray can hold up to 350 sheets, depending on which media type is used. Whilst paper jams are a problem with all printers, clearing these from the Lexmark Optra M410 is easy. The control panel points you to where the problem is straight away. The design of the cabinet and printing unit themselves also allow most issues to be resolved in a minute or so, no matter how badly ripped or torn the paper.
The output of the printer is impressive too. Printing at a resolution of 600 dots per inch, on both the horizontal and vertical, the monochromatic printer can happily produce up to 12 pages a minute.
The Lexmark Optra M410 is provided out of the box with everything needed to get printing straight away. A 4MB memory should satisfy most needs, whilst compatibility with most operating systems, including Windows and Macs, is not an issue. Connectivity is wired, but does allow for USB connection, alongside parallel and serial ports. The printer also allows for printing on many forms of media. Obviously it allows for the standard sheets, envelopes and labels, but can also print to business cards and transparent sheets.
If the standard provisions are not enough, the memory can be increased to 132MB. The capacity itself can readily be upgraded too, allowing for the addition of an extra tray. Taking the total capacity up to 850 standard sheets, this should be more than enough in most day to day operations.
When it comes to replacing the Lexmark toner, again it could not really be any easier. The control panel will let you know when you are approaching the end of the cartridge, and alert you when completely dry. If you are in the market for a solid, dependable monochromatic printer, this should definitely be considered.
