The Lexmark z 51 – Lexmark z 51 toner is a color jetprinter made by Lexmark. The jetprinter works by spraying droplets of color onto paper. Currently it is the most common type of printer used by households, and businesses. It is relatively cheap and easy to produce. These days ease of production is a good thing, it means you don’t have to wait 3 weeks for a replacement.
Lexmark is a North American based company that develops printer, and imaging technology. The company’s main research and development offices are located at its headquarters in Kentucky. They are one of the major leading brands of printers in the U.S today. At last count Lexmark employed around 13,000 people worldwide. With 4000 people employed at their headquarters alone.
Lexmark products are sold around the world, not just in the US, but in Europe, and Asia as well. Their products tend to be solid and reliable. They have many makes, and models to choose from. In addition to inkjet, they also offer laser printers. Laser printers work with a more complex method of printing, but suffice to say they are just as good.
They also offer dot matrix printers, and scanners. For people without a lot of room they offer all in one printers. All in one printers are usually a printer, scanner, fax, and copier all in the same shell. It is extremely convenient having everything you need in one box.
As products get older however they tend to be discontinued, or phased out. The Z 51 was discontinued about 3 years ago so if you’re looking to buy one you’re a little late. You can however still find technical, support, and drivers on the Lexmark website. Alternatively you can also look at online auctions, or yard sales.
If you already own a printer, then you’re probably looking for toner. Toner is the ink that’s stored in the little box you install into the printer. Some models of printers require two toner cartridges, 1 for black ink, and one for colored. However if you are still sitting on an old black and white printer you may want to consider upgrading.
As far as where to buy printers, and toner you have many options. You can purchase them online through the manufacturer’s website. Online through web based marketplaces. At retail stores scattered across the globe, I’m sure there’s one of some kind near you. Or you might get lucky perusing a yard sale or secondhand store. If your workplace is upgrading their machines, then ask them if you could take one of the old one’s they are getting rid of. You’ll save them the trouble of disposing of it, and get a printer all at the same time.
In closing, where you’ll find the Lexmark Z 51, and Lexmark toner is pretty much anywhere. Even though the printer has been discontinued you can still find it online. Toner is usually manufactured for several years after the model it was made for goes out of service. Some types of toner are used for a multitude of different models as well.
