Appearance- The Samsung ML 1630 printer is the most stylish printer on the market, without a doubt. Control Panel- The printers’ control panel is super user-friendly with only two controls for cancel and power options. Upon start-up, a cool and modern blue LED screen indicates current pages and other info in words and graphics for the technologically challenged user. Controls and Screen are both situated on devices’ bottom storey.
Print Quality- Text and graphics print quality is well above average at 600x1200dpi considering it’s price range and the fact that it’s a mere monochrome printer. Text is immaculate, crisp, clear outlines with very little to no blemishing or blurring, even with the smallest of font size, gray scale and web printing. Graphics printing is very good with little dithering and banding. However if you prefer super high quality graphics or colour printing rather opt for another model Samsung in a little higher price range or else you are going to be very disappointed.
Paper Type and Size-The printer can handle maximum input capacity of 100 sheets auto feed and 30 sheets output. If you are a little lazy to load paper or are a multi tasker, steer clear from this low-capacity paper printer. However it has a very impressive duty cycle of up to 5000 pages. Compatible media sizes are A4, A5, A6, Letter, Exec, ISO and JIS B5. Paper types accepted are plain, thick, thin, bond, recycle and label. Envelopes are not supported. The printer boasts a rather average speed of 17 pages per minute text and 6 pages per minute graphics printing with other printer brands in similar price range having much faster output rate. A great advantage to the printer is it almost immediate warm-up speed with first page print production under 7 seconds, gone are the days of waiting 20 plus seconds before printing starts.
Interface supported- A super fast USB2.0 interface comes standard with the printer for easy connection to your computer or camera. Please note that USB cable is not included, so order yours well in advance to avoid immediate operation delay disappointment.
Memory info- 8 Mb’s memory is included with your printer investment. Unfortunately you are not able to add more memory modules for networking or large print environment purposes.
