Sharp UX P-100 – Price, Functionality And Office Ready

The Sharp UX P-100 Printer is actually more of a fax machine and copier system than anything else really. It happens to have several really great points including its price, functionality, and more so definitely keep reading. We will discuss some of these points as well as how it compares to other fax machines and the quality you can expect out of this machine. Check out the Sharp UX P-100 Toner.

This Sharp fax system is a really great purchase if you’re considering putting it to use in a small office setup where you may not have an abundance of space. It has a small rather sleek design so fitting it within a smaller more confined environment works rather well. It also will be a help to those that don’t happen to have many faxes going out at a time. The main thing to consider about this fax machine is since it is an older model you’re likely to find it used or refurbished even for a rather discounted price. Usually reported around $20-30 dollars.

This machine uses a ribbon that actually puts the image onto the paper. This ribbon is actually comprised of thin carbon that uses thermal transfer for printing. It works rather well as far as legibility and darkness is concerned but it falls a little short if your aim is for sharpness and crispness. It is not a high quality printer but it does do basic documents rather well.

The only thing about ribbon printers that happens to upset some people is the life of the ribbon itself. These ribbons typically will run you around $20.00 per ribbon. This isn’t overly expensive but some people believe this is a problem. Well due to the nature of printing with ribbon you have to understand how it works to perhaps double the length of the life of the ribbon.

After the ribbon is used it actually gets wound around another spool. If you are careful enough you can in fact rewind the ribbon back onto the original spool. This will in turn actually allow you to use the ribbon again. This method isn’t 100% effective but it can be quite close. Not to mention the savings you then can have from not having to continually purchase ribbon.

This machine actually has all of the features you would expect from your average fax machine and works quite well. It does have 30 number dialing, and enough internal memory for up to 24 pages of printing if you need that many. Although due to the nature of it being a smaller, cheaper printer it will only actually hold 10 pages. So if you happen to be printing more than that you will need to feed the machine manually after page 9.

As stated before the printer does have a 30 number dialing feature. You can use the arrows on the machine to scroll through those 30 stored numbers should they be the ones you need to dial. There is also a review calls list that will appear if you happen to have Caller ID set up.

For these reasons the Sharp UX-P100 Printer is quite a decent deal and can really help if it’s what you’re looking for. Not only is the printer/fax machine a good deal but also make sure to pick up the Sharp UX-P100 toner to go along and compliment your new purchase.
