The standard output capacity is 500 sheets. Up to three of the following output options can be added: a Staple Smart Finisher can handle up to 750 sheets not stapled or 600 sheets stapled. An output expander can have up to 650 sheets. A high capacity output stacker can process up to 1,850 sheets. A five bin mailbox can hold up to 100 sheets per bin.

The PC interface for the base model is a USB port and bidirectional parallel port. The network, duplex/network and Internet/network models have a USB port and Ethernet 10BaseT/100BaseTX. There are several optional printer attachments available, such as token ring and fiber optic SC.

The print quality is clear and crisp with a print resolution of 300 dots per inch by 600 dots per inch, resulting in 1,200 dpi maximum. It has a 150,002 sheet monthly duty cycle, although IBM recommends not printing this maximum monthly duty cycle on a consistent basis. Laser cartridges can be purchased on the Internet for a reasonable price. It appears that Internet forum feedback is in general quite favorable to this printer. This is always an indication of a quality product.

The IBM InfoPrint 1130 printer has a good reputation for reliability and quality print output. It terms of quality of output it more than passes the test. The quick print speed is very desirable. The number of options such a staple finisher, expandable input and output bins, and duplex make a very good value. It has the versatility required for a large business workgroup.
