The Dell 1500 Printer Is A Fantasic Addition To Your Home Office

If you are searching for a new printer, you will quickly discover just how many options are available today. It doesn’t seem so long ago that a printer was a piece of equipment reserved for businesses, but this has forever changed. Now, thanks to cheaper technology, the costs associated with buying and maintaining a new laser printer are very economical. Whether you want a model for your home or office, it is worthwhile reading up on the Dell 1500 printer using Dell 1500 toner as this is the right choice for many people.

Costing less then three hundred dollars, this Dell model is a printer often seen as being efficient, yet also very compact. It can produce up to fourteen pages of high quality prints every minute, a definite positive in comparison to other options in the same price range. Considering its rapid speed, the overall standard of the finished work is more than adequate for most of us.

It is worth noting that if you are used to operating a more expensive top of the line laser printer you may occasionally feel that the Dell’s standard is low. In a large photograph you may see some smudging and distortion of lines.  This is to be expected on any printer that sells for under three hundred bucks. Most of the time, the difference in quality would not be apparent.

You also need to understand that this Dell machine does not feature a display screen as is found on some other printers. Whether or not you have need for such a specification is down to your personal requirements. As there’s no screen it can be sold at a cheaper cost.

This model uses six lights to highlight any problems when they arise. You will need to learn and understand exactly what they mean, for example a paper jam or low ink. If you want to cancel a print, there is a button you can press on the edge of the control panel.

With the Dell 1500 laser printer you can produce as many as 15,000 pages every single month. This is more than enough for most peoples’ demands. The resolution is 1,200 x 600 dpi. This is adequate for all documents, barring large and detailed photographs.

Another factor you may want to think over is the size of the input tray on this printer. It can hold as many as four hundred pages at once. This would be able to feed the machine for approximately half an hour. There’s also an auxiliary feeder, although the small size renders it quite pointless as it can only handle one envelope at a time.

Before you make a final decision also keep in mind the following points. The Dell 1500’s settings can easily be altered to produce darker contrast on any documents.  This is important if you have a lot of text to print.  Memory can be boosted to 144 MB to bring about a greater performance. If you want a printer that is simple yet efficient then this Dell option is a good choice.

A simple printer can be just the ticket, particularly if the output reaches the level you need.  The Dell 1500 toner certainly does, as does all Dell toner.  Professional prints are what you need from the toner in your printer and Dell delivers.
