The Samsung SCX 4521 Printer Economical And Convenient

I run a very busy household. My family often relies on machines to get things done in a day. So it is no surprise that our house is filled with many technological devices. The most commonly used is perhaps our printer. It served us well whenever we need printouts of documents, maps and pictures. Inevitably, after quite some time, it started to wear out. It was then I realized I needed a new printer. This is where the Samsung SCX 4521 printer using Samsung SCX 4521 toner came in.

Actually, I came to the store with a different brand in mind.  But I got hooked on the Samsung printer when I saw how cheap they were selling it. It seemed natural to give it a try. This Samsung printer is an all-in-one printer that handles printing, copying, scanning and faxing. The print speed is 20 ppm at a printing resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. It has a neat professional look and weighs about 23 lbs.

Its printing capability is my favorite. I got quality black printouts every single time. The characters are always sharp and smooth just like in my old printer. I even tried reducing the font size to micro and the quality stayed the same. In a way, the new printer surpassed my old printer. You see, my old printer was costly because I’d have to buy four cartridges for it to work. It happens often because I have three kids still learning how to be economical. With the Samsung printer, I only need to buy one toner. The best part is the “toner save” function that reduces toner usage, but still produce quality print-outs.

There were incidents in the house where a copy of a document was badly needed and we had to go out and find a copy machine. Now we can avoid those incidents using our new printer. The copier feature is easy enough for my kids to get used to. All they have to do is raise the copier lid, set the device, and they were good to go.

The fax feature of the machine is very convenient for me and my wife. It saves us from having to drive down to an establishment that offers fax services. It was either this or trying to use the office fax machine. Our new printer allows us to conduct our faxing needs in the comfort of our home.

I believe the one feature I had a problem with is the scanning. Honestly, it was a little disappointing. It showed a lot of contrasting strips along with poor resolution and pitiful color accuracy. On a lighter note, though, the scans are tolerable when it comes to documents and simple pictures we just need a back-up of.

I’ve been using the printer for a while now. In that time, I noticed a few things other people might be concerned about. Paper jams had been happening recently in the input tray. What I do is remove the jammed paper slowly. It also emits a high-pitched noise when it’s working. Sometimes, it gets annoying.

The Samsung SCX 4521 printer is designed for monochrome printing. This might be considered as a minus in its overall rate. When I think about it though, it’s seldom that I would print something in color. In conclusion, this Samsung printer is a handy piece of equipment to have around.

For the documents we need, the Samsung SCX 4521 toner performs as well as I could hope.  Each page produced by Samsung toner is crisp and clear.  I’ve saved additional money by ordering replacement toner online.
