Varicose Veins May Be Avoided

We try everything to stop the inevitable, except what really matters. Plastic surgery, make-up, and younger partners are what the mainstream people do to try to keep from getting older. Death and aging are nothing we can stop so the best thing to do is make our lives as healthy as possible. Varicose veins may be avoided but you must be willing to make a few changes in your life.

It matters not what ethnicity, gender (though women get it more often), or economical background from which you come because this ailment can appear at any time. When your grandmother, mother, and aunts have them, you might be attacked, also. It seems that a genetic factor keeps this within a family unit. Do what you can now to stop it from troubling your life.

Keep a good, appropriate, body weight. Obesity is a real problem in this generation and keeping off the pounds can stop your chances of obtaining this aching condition. It cannot be stressed enough that we must exercise, exercise, exercise. Activity will save your health. Gardening, hiking, bicycling, dancing, running, swimming, and walking are great in keeping fat away. Two and a half hours per week, is the least amount of activity required so that you can be labeled as active.

Your choice of shoes and even clothing can obstruct proper blood circulation. Tight clothes, especially jeans, do not allow a good comfort level for the body. High heels, and snug, narrow shoes, damage your feet. This causes horrible stress on your bottom limbs and should be avoided, at all costs.

Some people do not think the way they sit has any bearing to their health. These individuals are sorely mistaken. Sit in a chair, in front of a mirror and look well at your form. If you are slouching, you must make an effort to consciously sit appropriately. You must do this until it becomes second nature. Push out your chest, hold in your stomach and square your shoulders to that you will breathe better and remove terrible circulation.

We all must work to make a living. Sadly, some of our jobs actually wreak havoc on our poor bodies. Gratefully, there are those who have invented aids that can keep away problems when those aids are utilized. Pantyhose, which cause compression on the legs, are available at most pharmacies. These devices support circulatory systems in your lower limbs and aid to thwart varicose veins.

That old cliché, “you are what you eat” is very true. The food most people intake is nothing but garbage. We think we are doing well by grabbing the dollar menus at most fast food restaurants. Little do we realize just how much damage we do to ourselves by partaking in this cuisine. You must eat better in order to stay well. Peanuts, blackberries, broccoli, beans, and whole grains are examples of foods we must put in our diets. Constipation contributes to the overall problems with very large, painful veins in the limbs. Eat better or your body will suffer the consequences.

Add sweet potatoes, strawberries, grapefruits, oranges, apricots, peas, pineapple, and Brussels sprouts to your menu. These foods are filled with vitamin C, which is good in making the vessels stronger so your physique will remain at its peak level of wellness. You will have better health and can avoid spider veins if you are willing to make a few changes. The choice is yours.
